The diagrams are pictures of music — so every one of them also says what it shows.

Diagrams with words

Every keyboard chart on this site carries a complete text alternative: the keyboard’s name, each sounding key with its note name and role in the chord, and the voice-budget outcome. Screen-reader users get the same lesson the picture teaches.

Audio is optional

Playback never autoplays and nothing on the site requires hearing it — every chart’s information is fully present as text and graphics.

Color and contrast

All bundled color themes are contrast-checked in CI against WCAG thresholds, and the theme builder checks custom palettes the same way. Diagram states (kept, dropped, root) are distinguished by more than color alone.

Keyboard navigation

All interactive controls — pickers, tabs, play buttons — are native buttons and links, reachable and operable from the keyboard. A skip link jumps straight to the main content.
