About Keys Warrior

A reference that treats the keyboard as a first language — and treats voice limits as a subject, not a footnote.

Keys first

Most chord references were born on the guitar and translated. Keys Warrior is built the other way: chords arrive as voicings on real keys — inversions, open spreads, shells, two hands — and scales light up the keyboard itself. Seven keyboards are modeled, each with its true range and voice architecture: the 88-key piano, the 73-key electric piano, the 61-key organ, and four synth architectures from eight voices down to one.

Honest budgets

A 13th chord holds six tones; a four-voice synth holds four. Every chart on this site runs that arithmetic in the open — the reducer drops doubled tones first, then the dispensable fifth, then the root, never a tone the chord’s name depends on, and each chart says exactly what it kept. The synth guides teach the theory behind that honesty.
